Al-Rayan Organization for Social Development Conducts Training for Local Agricultural Agents in Tawila Locality

As part of the "Strengthening Agriculture and Livelihood for Women and Girls in Sudan" project, Al-Rayan Organization for Social Development (RSD), in partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and with support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, conducted training for local agricultural agents in Tawila Locality as part of the project's activities running from February 2026 to March 2027. The six-day training focused on strengthening the capacities of local agricultural agents in modern agricultural techniques, agricultural project management, and agricultural extension services, enabling them to provide effective advisory support to farmers within their communities. The training brought together local agricultural agents and extension officers representing several villages across Tawila Locality. Participants will transfer the knowledge and practical skills they acquired to local farmers, contributing to improved agricultural productivity, strengthened food security, and enhanced livelihoods, particularly for women and girls. The training aims to enhance the capacity of local agricultural agents, promote the adoption of modern farming practices, strengthen agricultural project management, and improve the quality of extension services, ultimately supporting sustainable agricultural development and building resilient rural communities. This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of Al-Rayan Organization and its partners to empowering local communities, strengthening agricultural resilience, and improving food security through knowledge transfer and capacity development.
