Al-Rayan Social Development Organization (RSD) is more than just an organization; itโ€™s a beacon of hope born in 2007 from a deep commitment to addressing pressing humanitarian and developmental needs across Sudan, particularly in the heart of Darfur.

Our History

Our Impactful Journey

(2008 - 2024)

2008

Building an integrated water station funded by UNAMID.

2009-2010

Reconciliation workshops between farmers and herders supported by UNAMID.

2010

Building a youth training center in Kutum supported by UNAMID.

2011-2019

Food distribution in partnership with GAA and World Food Programme.

2012-2013

Training women on building stoves and refractory bricks.

2014

Building health centers in Lamina and Bouram funded by WFP.

Today

Establishing tree nurseries, providing health insurance, and ongoing sustainable livelihood projects.

"Salam" Projects

A journey of peace and resilience in partnership with Welthungerhilfe and UNDP.

Salam I (2014-2015)

Focused on peacebuilding networks in El Fasher, Kutum, and Al-Waha.

Salam II (2016-2017)

Strengthening the same partnerships and expanding capacity building.

Salam III (2018-2023)

Expanded coverage for Kutum, Al-Waha, El Fasher and deepening peace efforts.

Our Ongoing Projects 2025

We continue intensive fieldwork in the most difficult humanitarian conditions.

Humanitarian Aid Distribution

Covers 8 localities in North Darfur (El Fasher, Kutum, Al-Waha, Kabkabiya, Al-Siraif, Tina, Ambru, Korni) in partnership with WFP.

Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP)

To combat acute malnutrition in Kutum, Tina, Ambru, and Al-Waha localities.
